Samual Parot and his Belgian breeding product, the 14-year-old sire Couscous van Orti (by Nabab de Rêve) jumped to victory. The 14-year-old stallion stopped the time in 55.26 seconds. Last year Couscous still competed under the saddle of Belgium's Pieter Devos. Eduardo Menezes and the 8-ear-old Quantador 3 (by Quinta Real) followed in a second place. The pair crossed the finish in 56.07 seconds. Guido Klatte placed third. Together with the 9-year-old gelding Coolio 23 (by Contendro I) he finished faultless in 56.82 seconds. The Egyptian - living in California - Nayel Nasser followed in a fourth place. Nassar and Baraka (by Lordanos) placed fourth while Andrew Kocher and Le Conte 5 (by Lancer II) completed the top five.
