The first day of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai concluded with the 1.50/1.55m class. Earlier Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano topped the 1.45m opening class, as he now finished third with his sweepy start in Shanghai. Aboard his white 10-years-old Stallion Caspar 232 he finished third after a clear jump-off. Only Scott Brash and Jack Towell did better. Towell set the fastest time in the jump-off with 15 horse-rider combinations. Together with the 10-years-old New York (by Verdi) he stopped the clock in 35.18 seconds, taking home the win and almost 110,000 Euro. Great-Britain's Scott Brash followed in a second place with Hello Fever (by For Pleasure). The pair crossed the finish clear in 35.28 seconds.
