While the CSIO 5*-riders focus on tomorrow's FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup, the international CSI1* -audience took off yesterday. At the "Longines Spring Classic of Flanders" it was Belgian Jan Claeys who claimed victory in the 1.30m-class. Aboard his Berlin-son, Blackmail Jb, he finished in 61.10 seconds. Geoffry Geerts and Hamilton followed in a second place. Algerian Mounir Mehenni and his 7-year-old Belgian Warmbred, Idylle van de Eikhoeve (by Winningmood van de Arenberg) completed the stage. It were Frederik Dekens (Fursa van den Dael) and Benny Naessens (Ems Illuions van de Bien) who made it to the fourth and fifth spot. The CSI2* had its 1.40m class on the program. British Guy Williams, rode to victory with the 13 year old Belgian Warmbred, Casper de Muze (by Triomphe de Muze). The pair already concluded their 'Spring Tour' in Lummen and 'Sunshine Tour' in Vejer de la Frontera, with succes. This time setting the time almost 3 seconds faster as runner-up, Marie Bonet and Gamine. Italian Luca Maria Moneta and Jesus de la Commune finished third. The top five was completed by Frederic Vernaet (Tonixe) and Welsey Carmans (Calvados).
