It looked like it would be a Dutch Show jumper, winning the Zandhoven Grand Prix. This would be the 3rd time in a row, but eventually it was Jeroen Appelen, who came in as last, claiming the win. With the jumps set at a height of 1.55m, the Prix Thegra Tracomex Holding/ Flandria Rent, had only 14 horse-rider combinations in the jump-off. Onlt the top three finished clear. Fastest time was for Jeroen Appelen and Aikido Z. Dutch show jumper, Michel Hendrix followed as runner-up with Baileys. Swedish Evelne Tovek and Oz de Breve completed the stage. Appelen's compatriot Ann Carton Grootjans (Funky Music) and Jacquline Lai (Capone 22) also left the wood untouched, unfortunately for them they had one time penalty bringing them back on the fourth and fifth place.
