Jerome Guery And Alicante win the Sires of the World

Yesterday Belgium's Jérome Guery and the Holsteiner-sire, Alicante (by Casall Ask) won the Sires of the World warm-up in Lanaken. At the World Championships for young show jumping horses at Zangersheide, Guery and the majestic gray horse did repeat that win. In today's course, designed by Eugene Mathy, only eleven combinations of the 62 starters qualified for the jump-off. Both Guery and James Billington managed to qualify woth to horses. Aboard the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood Garfield de Tiji des Templiers (by Quasimodo Z) Guery took the lead in the beginning of the jump-off. Thepair concluded in 38.51 seconds. Eventually Switzerland's Arthur da Silva and Inonstop van 't Voorhof (by Nonstop) followed Guery and Alicante. the top five was completed by Ramzy Al Duhami and the 10-year-old Garlic v. kapelhof (by Tauber vh Kapelhof) in a fourth place and Christian Ahlmann with Carabis Z (by Caritano) in a fifth.
