Jessica Mendoza speeds to victory in London

With the horse Guard's building as setting the Longines Global Champions Tour started today. The beautiful setting surely inspired British Jessica Mendoza. The 18-year old just won the first five star class of the day with Ramiro de Belle Vue. She was one second faster than European Champion Roger-Yves Bost with Colombo van den Blauwaert. British rider Robert Whitaker completed the stage with USA Today. With the jumps set at a height of 1.45m the top five was completed by Taizo Sugitani (Cuba) and Swiss Jane Richard Philips aboard Pablo de Virton. A total of 18 horse-rider combinations rode a double clear.
