Jimmy Torano claims Friday's FEI Class at WEF II

On Friday the international program at the Winter Equestrian Festival has only one FEI class set at a height of 1.40m. It was Jimmy Torano from Fort Lauderdale who jumped to victory aboard the 11-year-old Betagravin (Quasimodo Z x Grandville). De combination jumped a clear round in 55.60 seconds, over one second faster as Lauren  Hough. Hough and the Zangersheide-bred, Canasta Z (by Canabis Z) followed as a runner-up after a finish in 56.89 seconds. Laura Chapot placed third in the saddle of Thornhill Kate (by Courage II). Last year the pair already won the HITS Saugerties Grand Prix. The top five was completed by Marilyn Little (Adamo) on fourth and Michael Desiderio (Aminko) on a fifth place. In the national 1.40m class the victory was claimed by  Ronan McGuigan with Capall Zidane (Concorde x Baloubet du Rouet). The 1.40m final was set away for Laura Chapot with Shooting Star.
