John Whitaker forfeits World Cup participation after collarbone fracture

John Whitaker, who had a fall with Argento in yesterday’s warm-up class at the Scandinavium in Gothenburg (SWE), has withdrawn from all competitions further to a follow-up medical examination this morning by the onsite orthopaedic specialist. The medic has confirmed a fractured collarbone, and the British athlete has been ruled out of competing at the event. The horse Argento was thoroughly checked by a veterinarian after leaving the arena yesterday and again this morning and it was confirmed he was uninjured in the fall.
