Last year it was Simon Delestre who won the CSI3* Grand Prix at the Flanders Horse Event in Beervelde. This year it was Swedish Jonna Ekberg, riding for Stephex Stables, and Equita van 't Zorgvlieg who proved to be invincible. Setting the time at 35.37 seconds, she finished almost a second faster as Margie Goldsten Engle and Royce. Belgium's Olivier Philippaerts and H&M Legend of Love claimed the third spot. The top five was completed by DAvid Simpson (Chessy 17) and Bernardo Alves (Vatson Site). Simpson already won the Friday's GP qualifier at the CSI3* in Beervelde. After her victory Ekberg stated she had a great feeling that day. "Since a couple of weeks, Equita is in the mood for victory. Today I felt it might be the moment," states Ekberg. "I was one of the first to go in, that doesn't give me the opportunity to see the other riders at work. Daniel (Deusser) gave me some advice, as well as Farid. Thanks to their help, everything went as it should have." When asked about her work environment Jonna could only express some positive words. "I am grateful to be a part of this winning team. the Stephex team is a wonderful team to work with. Not only the riders, but everybody is family."
