José Maria Larocca jumps to victory in Verbier

While everyone's focus was on the European Championships show jumping in Aachen, José Maria Larocca and his 11 year old Eliot DWS (by Winningmood) jumped to victory in Switzerland. At the CSI3* in Verbier the pair finished their jump-off faultless in 41.51 seconds. Over two seconds slower it was Hendrik Gravemeier and Cortez 63 (by Corofino II) who took in the runner-up position. Still taking home CHF 11,000. Mexico's Jaime Azcarraga (Matador) followed in a third place after setting a fast time (42.52 seconds), but jumping one fence down. The top five was completed by Anthony Bourquard with Indiana des Abattes CH (by Ishan) and France's Adelaide Lautie with Tarioso Manciais (by Arioso du Theillet). Only four out of the 38 starters qualified for the jump-off. With the jump-s set at a height of 1.60m only the top two left the arena with a double clear round. CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS
