Julien Epaillard wins NetAachen- Preis.

The best rounds in the NetAachen-Preiss came from its last riders, and it was Julien Epaillard and Pigmalion Du Rozel (Le Tot De Semilly) that was the fastest couple. Coming in with only seven riders to go in the 31-rider 1.45 speed class, the notoriously fast French rider took over the lead from Hans-Dieter Dreher and Quiwi Dream (Quidam De Revel x Contender) – shaving off 0.57 seconds on the German rider's time. Coming in as number 25, Olivier Philippaerts slotted into third place on Carlito C (Kannan x Romeo), over a second slower than the winner. It was an action filled class as many of the horses did not like to spend time around the optional nature fence at seven – a small Devil's Dyke-version – which plenty of horses refused to jump. Four riders were eliminated – for refusals or fall – and three retired.
