JumpingClash Challenge starts 2017 season in Antwerp

The new riding competition model JumpingClash Challenge, which has held a very successful World Premiere during Madrid Horse Week, will begin its 2017 season at the Antwerp International Horse Show (CSI5*) from 19 to 22 April. Antwerp has decided to become part of the new JumpingClash Challenge competition for 2017. This international circuit has had great acceptance among riders and spectators, and intends to revolutionise the world of show jumping and the way people consume equestrian sport thanks to a very agile and attractive TV production provided by MediaPro. So, just when everything seemed to have been invented in the world of show jumping, the JumpingClash Challenge has managed to really mix things up with its new format. Specially designed for TV, JumpingClash Challenge generates a new show that enhances recognition of riders and their projection as “stars”. Direct rivalry between riders being presented through reports, interviews and press conferences increases the interest and participation of fans as well as event audiences. The competition is divided into two groups: Seeded (Longines FEI 8 best ranked riders) and Challengers (8 best riders from the first qualifying event). Seeded and Challengers will compete in head to head eliminatory rounds in order to reach the big finale. The format is very similar to tennis and it guarantees ongoing excitement as the eliminatory rounds are immediate, making the competition very understandable for the general public. Excitement is guaranteed from the first clash. In past editions, CSI5* Antwerp was held annually in a unique location, next to the Scheldt river. The event had more than 25,000 visitors, more than €830,000 in prizes and was broadcasted around the five continents. The expectations for this next edition are not only to maintain past figures, but to increase them thanks to the great level of expectation that the JumpingClash Challenge is generating. Antwerp is consolidated as one of the most important events in Europe, and the first JumpingClash Challenge international agreement. Currently, JumpingClash Challenge continues in negotiations with other important developers of events around the world.
