Junqueira Muylaert jumps to glory in La Baule's Grand Prix

Brasil coloured the victory at the CSIO5* Grand Prix in La Baule, France. France's Patrice Delaveau jumped in the spotlights during this 1.60m Grand Prix and almost cheered-up the crowd. A total of eight combinations qualified for the jump-off. Eventually Junqueira Muylaert set a record round aboard the Zangersheide-bred stallion Prince Royal Z MFS. Finishing in 35.39 seconds, the pair beat home rider Patrice Delaveau. Delaveau and the 12-year-old KWPN-gelding Aquila HDC (by Ovidus) eventually settled for the runner-up position, cheering up the crowd at the arena. Van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Arera C (by Indoctro) followed in a third place. The rider 'parked' his 12-year-old KWPN-mare after Delaveau and in front of Henrick von Eckermann. The Swedish showjumper placed fourth with Cantinero, while Simon Delestre completed the top five aboard Qlassic Bois Margot (by L'ARc de Triomphe). CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS
