Saturday's 1.50 speed class in Helsinki went to Jur Vrieling, who seems to be in an unstoppable winning mood at the moment. Riding Esprit Ds (Darco x Capitol I), the World Cup winner from Oslo was fractions faster than runner-up Gregory Wathelet on Egano van het Slogenhof (Electro x Nagano). Third place went to Grand Prix winner Martin Fuchs on Picsou du Chene (Le Tot de Semilly x Caloubet du Bois). All three riders stopped the clock on the 51-second mark. "I have a really quick horse, so I wanted to really go for it. The course went pretty much how I planned it and I was quite happy about it. Afterwards I got a few times a bit nervous because a few riders got pretty close, but I am happy they could not beat my time," Jur Vrieling said after his win.
