At the West Coast Classic Thunder Bird Showjumping the 1.40m Shake, Steak & Thunder Grand Prix was won by Karianne Boyce-Lockhart and Ferro DC. The same pair already won a 1.40m competition in the Fort Grand Prix arena on Friday. With the victory they took home the $3,000 cheque. Marion Ostmeyer and Roulett followed on a second place while Lindsay Uyesugi and OZ 42 took in the third spot of this Grand Prix. A total of 32 horse-rider combinations took the start in this course. The top five was completed by Tracey Epp (Oregon 5) and Joelle Froese (Al Capone 2). In the 1.30m class is was Chelsea Walsh and Mercury who won the class. Lauren Crooks and Armegedon followed in a second place. Samantha Buirs continued on a third and fourth place with her rides Quantilly and Cliff. Winning the 1.30m Class, Chelsea continued her winning streak after claiming the $2,500 1.20m Classic. This time with Amnesty she left Ben Rootman (Just Cruising) and Melissa Tomkins (Bally Graffan) on a second and third place. Winning male of the day was Nigel Potts, taking home victory of the 1.15m Open Jumper Classic. Aboard Western Haze he welcomed the $450 cheque. Samantha Buirs (Leon C) followed in a second place while James McDonald (Gotcha K) completed the stage.
