Karim El Sogby unbeatable in Franconville

The four star Grand Prix in Franconville, France, was won by Karim El Sogby and Amelia. Only three horses crossed the finish line faultless in the jump off in this 1m60 Grand Prix. With a time of 46.80 seconds the Egyptian rider was the fastest aboard his nine year old Cantos-mare, Amelia. America's Brianne Goutal ended second on Wirma (Hors La Loi II x Lux) stopping the clock on 47.36 seconds. Third was Belgium's in-form Olivier Philippaerts riding Armstrong van de Kapel (Quasimodo Z x Farn) to a time of 49.02 seconds in round two. In the end Olivier Philippaerts was also 'crowned' as rider of the competition. Last rider in the jump off was Julien Anguetin and Quanan Rouge (by Kannan).
