Kevin Staut and Denis Lynch speed to glory in Gothenborg's World Cup

Concluding the first international world cup day in Gothenborg, Sweden the five-star riders got offered a spicy 1.50m class. France's Kevin Staut eventually set the unbeatable time of 54.92 seconds aboard the 9-year-old Unna de Kerglenn HDC (by Cap Kennedy*bois Margot). Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts was supposed to compete with his twin brother this weekend. With Olivier out of the saddle for a while it is up to Nicolas to defend the Philippaerts honour. Together with the 13-year-old Clinton-mare, Ustina Sitte, Nicola followed as runner-up in 55.47 seconds. Staut's compatriot, Simon Delestre placed third with ther 12-year-old Chesall Zimequest (by Casall).  The top five was completed by Robert Smith with Ilton (by Dulf van den Bisschop) in fourth and Belgium's Pieter Devos with Equipharma Dax van d'Abdijhoeve (by Desir du Chateau) in fifth. CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS In the 1.40m class it was Denis Lynch and the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood-sire, Ho Go van de Padenborre (Darco x Chin Chin) who claimed the first 5*-victory of the week in Gothenborg. Andre Leemans' breeding product stopped the clock in 29.29 seconds. Henrik von Eckermann and Lucky Silvana Z (by L. Silver Joter Z) followed as runner-up after a clear round in 29.91 seconds.
