Kevin Staut speeds to victory in Knokke's main class

Today's sportive program in Knokke concluded with a 1.50m fivestar class. As the course builder set a difficult course only nine of the 41 starters qualified for the jump-off. Even seven combinations did not cross the finish of the first round. Eventually it was France's Kevin Staut who set the unbeatable time of 39,76 seconds. Aboard the sBs-gelding, Reveur de Hurtebise HDC (by Kashmir van Schuttershof), Staut was followed by BElgium's number one rider on the FEI list, Niels Bruynseels. Bruynseels and the 11-year-old Gancia de Muze (by Malito de Reve) stopped the timer at 40,07 seconds in the second round. USA's Laura Kraut placed third after a clear track in 40,24 seconds with her 10-year-old Zeermonie (by Cero). The top five was completed by Aldrick Cheronnet (Tanael des Bonnes, by Watch Me*Hoy) in fourth and Karim El Zoghby (Amelia, by Cantos) in fifth. Click here for the results
