The winner of last years 'Longines Beijing Equestrian Masters', the former World Champion Jos Lansink, didn't succeed in prolonging his title. In total nine pairs returned for the Jump-Off of this great sportive event. The American show jumper Laura Kraut and U-Prova (s. Lorentin) made the finish in the unbeatable time of 37:36 seconds. Christian Ahlmann and the 10-year-old Cinetto (s. Canabis Z) ended in the runner-up position after a time of 38:97 seconds. The stage was completed by the 'local hero' Xiaokelatiabayi, followed by his fellow countrymen Zhu Meimei, Kenneth Cheng, Duan Yihua & Tongyan Liu. Last year's winner, Jos Lansink, had two jumping faults in the basic course and had to be satisfied with the eventual 21st place.
