Laurent Mahieu triumphs at Youth GP Bonheiden

Laurent MahieuOnly a 15 minutes drive from the CSI3* of Sint-Katelijne-Waver the youth gathered to compete their own CSIJ-Ch-YR at the Stables of Mike Van Belle in Bonheiden. The Grand Prix for junior-riders, measuring a height of 1m40, was dominated by the young Laurent Mahieu. On the back of Sporano the junior-rider won the Grand Prix, while he ended fourth with his other horse Soprano. The Swedish rider Martinsen followed in the second place. Leonie Peeters and Sunny Girl earlier that week won a course. In the Grand Prix however they had to be satisfied with a third place. Further Jens Van Grunsen ended in the fifth place leading the platoon existing of Thibault Vermeulen (Baccord), Lynn D'Have (Boris) and Vicky Van de Poel (Espero). © equnews.com - photo: equpics.com
