After twelf years it is Leopold van Asten thats back on the number one spot during the Dutch championships in Mierlo this weekend. By keeping every fence intact through the challenging four courses, Leopold van Asten rode to the gold on VDL Groep Zidane (Heartbreaker x Calando I). Van Asten's penalty score of 1.75 was that he accumelated during the first speed test on tuesday was more then enough to take the number one spot. Last year's champion Maikel van der Vleuten started the day on the 10th place, but claimed the silver after two amazing rides on the young VDL Groep Arera C (Indoctro x Voltaire). Jeroen Dubbeldam and Zenith SFN N.O.P. (Rash R x Fuego du Prelet) are also back in form. After there slow winter season the World champion pair rode a promising championship but had to settle for bronze with a score of 5.33 points. Check out the full results here.
