Lorenzo de Luca takes victory in Grand Prix Rome

In Rome the international competition this weekend finished with a €350.000 1m60 Grand Prix. It was here the Italian rider that trains and lives in Belgium Lorenzo de Luca who took the victory. In the saddle of his Belgium Warmblood Halifax van het Kluizebos (by Heartbreaker) he took the win with 45.37 seconds on the clock. A total of thirteen combinations made it to the jump-off. In second place it was Irish rider Bertram Allen and his Hector van D’ Abdijhoeve (by Cabrio van de Heffinck) with whom he crossed the finish line in 45.97 seconds. Following in third place we saw Australia’s leading lady Edwina Tops-Alexander and her Inca Boy van t Vianahof (by Diamant de Semilly) in 51.67 seconds. Completing the top five in fourth place was America’s top rider Mclain Ward with HH Azur (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) with four penalties, followed by a fifth place for Dutch rider Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Beauty (by For Pleasure).
