Luca Marziani jumps takes Ranking points in Rome

Just before the kick-off of the Longines Global Champions League in Rome it was local show jumping rider, Luca Marziani who jumped to victory in the 1.45m Longines Ranking class. Aboard the 10-year-old KWPN-gelding, Don't Worry B (Numero Uno), Marziani jumped to victory inn 24.38 seconds. Compatriot, Emanuele Gaudiano placed as runner-up with the 11-year-old Quinn van de Heffinck (Concetto). The pair was followed by Ireland's Bertram Allen who also stopped the timer in under 25 seconds. Allen and his 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood sire, Hector van d'Abdijhoeve (Cabrio vd Heffinck) crossed the finish clear in 24.75 seconds. The top five was completed by Ben Maher and the 9-year-old Winningmood van de Arenberg-son, Winning Good in fourth and Johan Sebastian Gulliksen with Via v Karmenhhoek Z (Via Veneto) in fifth.
