Ludger Beerbaum tops the Mannheim GP

For the home crowd it was Ludger Beerbaum who rode to victory in the 1.60m Grand Prix of the CSIO in Mannheim. It was a stormy competition. The weather even caused a slight brake in the run. It pourred rain causing the arena being transformed in a pont. In the end it were 15 horse-rider combinations who classified for the jump-off. Aboard the 12-year-old Chiara (by Contender) Beerbaum set a time over 1 second faster as runner-up Beezie Madden and the 13-year-old Belgian Warmbred Cortes C (by Randel z). Katharina Offel followed in a third place with Zipper. The top five was completed by Paul Estermann (Lord Pepsi) and Abdel Said (Vingino).
