This two-phases course fell prey to Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten aboard the ten year old Idi Utopia (by Quasimodo Z). The combination was the strongest in the field with a time of 27.33 seconds. They stayed ahead of UK's Scott Brash and his Hello Senator (by Carambole) with whom he finished in second place in 28.39 seconds. In third place it was then the world's number one rider Harrie Smolders aboard Une de l ' Othain (by Conterno Grande old) with whom he finished in a time of 28.97 seconds.
