Marcel Marschall on top in Knokke's Grand Prix

No less than 13 combinations qualified for the 1.45m CSI2* Grand Prix at the Knokke Hippique. A total of eight kept it clear in the jump-off. Eventually it was Germany's Marcel Marschall who claimed victory aboard the 9-year-old Crystal 17 (Carentan). The pair stopped the timer under the 35 seconds. Sweden's Angelie Von Essen followed as runner-up with the KWPN-mare, Estella (f. Cardento). Together with the brown she crossed the finish in 35.33 seconds staying ahead of Belgium's Vincent Lambrecht. Lambrecht rode the AES-mare, S&L Through the Looking Class (f. Arkan) clear in 35.96 seconds and was followed by Carolina Aresu Garcia Obregon with Michael De Bruyne's breeding product, Joie de Vivre Ter Eycken (f. Muscaris d'Ariel). Charlotte McAuley completed the top five with Valentino Tuiliere (f. Diamant de Semilly).   Click here for the results
