Mariano Martinez Bastida makes home crowd proud in Oliva

Mariano Martinez Bastida won the Longines ranking class of Oliva today. He did so with his thirteen-year-old Quicksilver, a son of Quickstar. In 25,84 seconds, the pair beat the other 90 participants.

British rider Laura Renwick piloted both her horses to a great place, but she wasn't able to beat Bastida's time. Renwick finished second with Dublin V (Vigaro) in 26,56 seconds, with Bintang II (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve), she took the third place in 26,69 seconds. Elian Baumann and Campari Z (Contact vd Heffinck) claimed the fourth place for Switzerland. French rider Adeline Hecart and Question d'Orval (Rosire) jumped to the fifth position.
