The international fivestar show at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida kicked-off with a 1.40m schooling round. Only Markus Beerbaum and the 11-year-old gelding, Comanche 28 (Coupe de Coeur) had no problem finishing in team, claiming the win and making a Jump-Off obsolete. Last year Comanche 28 jumped to a second place in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Wellington, under the saddle of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. In this schooling round a lot of the combinations kept the wood untouched, but didn't manage to complete the track in time. USA's Christine McCrea followed as runner-up with Nektarina B (Nekton). McCrea crossed the finish in 71.43 seconds. Emanuel Andrade and the Selle Français-mare Reus de la Nutria (Zandor Z) followed in a third place after a finish in 72.37 seconds, resulting in two time penalties. Daniel Deusser and the 14-year-old Cornet D'Amour (Cornet Obolensky) placed in fourth while Rodrigo Pessoa completed the top five with Ferro Chin vh Lindenhof (Chin Chin). Terry Hoeckman's former rider stopped the clock in 75.74 seconds. CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS
