Matthew Sampson claims first place in Gold MET with Belgian mare

British rider Matthew Sampson and Gloria van de Zuuthoeve, an eleven-year-old Belgian bred daughter of Thunder van de Zuuthoeve, won the Gold 3 1,45m in Oliva today. Caio Carvalho Filho and Cheindira (Chagall van de Burggrave) finished second from Brazil and beat Russian Vladimir Tuganov with Qualidam (Quality Touch Z). Ireland also presented itself in the top five.
