Maverick Van Lent starts last day at Stephex Masters with a win

The Belgian riders continued their success in Sunday’s Prestige League Stephex Prize, filling up the top four spots – and best of them all was Maverick Van Lent. Aboard the 7-year old mare Jiamante Van Essene (Diamant de Semilly x Gotthardsen), Van Lent took the victory in this 1.20m two phase special competition with a double clear round. With a little over a second down to runner-up Odile Putman on Tempo Fontanel (Rheingold de Luyne x Fusain du Defey) it was a win with a good margin. Third place went to Toon Maes on Daan (Negro x Zeoliet), 1.88 seconds behind the winner. Camille Demolie followed in fourth, while Nikolaos Katsos (GRE) broke the Belgian spell as number five.
