Maximillian Schmid takes Youngster Class win in Villach

It was a close battle today in the Youngster Tour at the home of Gaston Glock in Villach. The win was for Germany with Maximillian Schmid. All three riders that were on the podium put in a fast ride. With the number one only being ahead of 0:19 seconds on the number three. German Maximillian Schmid and Cocolino (v. Cayado) finally managed to get hold of to the number one spot in this speed testt. Clocking a time of 34.77 seconds, the rider retained a narrow lead over Tobias Meyer and Over The Top. Meyer in his turn did feel the hot sand under his feet as Belgian Karel Cox was closing in. The German rider clocked 34.92 seconds and was therefore eight hundredths faster than Cox, who like yesterday took the third place with the Zangersheide bred 8 year old mare Clintissima Spalbeek Z (v. Clintissimo Z). The top five was completed by the Victoria Guliksen and Gerfried Puck. Both the Norwegian rider and the rider from Austria were dangerously close to a podium finish. Gulliksen and the 7-year Firelfly H (v. Douglas) clocked 35.12 seconds, while Puck and 8 years Elroyal (v. Numero Uno) crossed the finish in 35.14 seconds. Go here to see all the results
