Mclain Ward wins first show with new horse Hija van Stokapelleken

Earlier today we spoke about a new horse for American rider Mclain Ward. Just now he won his first show with his new grey mare Hija van Stokapelleken. The new combination won the 1m45 Speed class today during the Winter Equastrian Festival in Wellington. With a beautiful round the pair crossed the finishline in just 69.938 seconds.
In second place it was Irish rider Kevin Babington and his Double O Seven 7 with whom he finished in 71.07 seconds.  Following in third place we find Gustavo Prato and his Carnaz with 74.278 seconds on the clock.
The top five was then completed by Emily Mason and her Explosion W on a fourth place in 77.189 seconds, while in fifth place it was Guillaume Batillat and his Ugo du Marquet with 3 penalties in 81.01 seconds.
