Eventually it was USA's show jumping rider, Michael Hughes who set the record time. Hughes stopped the timer at 39.11 seconds aboard his 9-year-old Chalan-son, Carbon 5. Belgium's local rider, Hannes Symons followed as runner-up with Marc Bellemans' 8-year-old Jugana. The pair crossed the finish faultless in 39.95 seconds, just no second faster as Dutch Stefanie van den Brink. Van den Brink en her Salt'N Peppa completed the stage in a third place. The top five further coloured belgian. Emilie Conter placed fourth with Mufasa (by Wandor van de Mispelaere) under the saddle. The fastest time was produced by Dries Goossens and his 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood-daughter of Cicero Z, Gina. The pair set the timer at 36.58 seconds, but jumped one rail down.
