Michael Whitaker forfaits at the Rio2016 Games

Yesterday the British jumping squad didn't place for the second and final round of the Olympic Nations Cup at the Deodoro Equestrian center in Rio de Janeiro. Ben Maher (Tic Tac du Seigneur), Nick Skelton (Big Star) and Michael Whitaker (Cassionato) however did qualify for the next individual round. However Great-Britain will only see two of these riders at the start in the next round. Yesterday Michael Whitaker decided to forfait the games. After their first round the Whitaker's 11-year-old stallion got a small colic attack. The grey horse was immediately transported to the veterinairy clinic.
