The French rider Nicolas Delmotte just won the Grand Prix in Liège. He had saddled Ilex VP for this class, a nine-year-old stallion by Diamant de Semilly x Darco. Ilex has been competing very successfully with Delmotte. The pair won the Grand Prix in Gijon last September, and in July they took the first place in the GP of the CSI5* in Dinard. Now, they also won the CSI3* Grand Prix 1,60m in Liège. They won with a time of 34,81 seconds in the jump-off. A very clear win, because Niklaus Rutschi and Cardano CH (Charmeur) finished second after 37,7 seconds. Home rider Rachel Steffen and Uncanto Di Villagana (Canturo) took the third place on the stage. Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen has also been performing very well in Liège, and she had no intention of doing otherwise in this class. She took the fourth place with No Fear van de Tichelrij Z (Numero Uno). Patrice Delaveau and Leontine Ledimar Z HDC (Lovefever II) finished fifth. Click here for the complete result.
