Niels Bruynseels concludes his GCT Rome with a 'Bang'

In the concluding 1.50m CSI5* class in Rome it was Belgium's Niels Bruynseels who speeded to victory. Only eight combinations produced a double clear round in this Longines Ranking class. Aboard the 10-year-old Quaprice-daughter, Lady Cracotte Bruynseels crossed the finish inn 42.72 seconds. With over a second difference it was Ireland's Bertram Allen who settled as runner-up. Allen was the last to start and did his best but crossed the finish clear in 43.94 seconds with the 11-year-old Hector van d'Abdijhoeve (Cabrio vd Heffinck). Pius Schwizer completed the stage with his Clinton-mare, About a Dream. The pair was followed by local show jumping rider, Gianni Govoni aboard the 13-year-old Antonio (Oklund). Denis Lynch completed the top five in the saddle of RMF Bella Baloubet (Baloubet du Rouet). results
