Belgian horses are performing great all over the world. So during the 2* Grand Prix of the Longines China Tour Tianjin there was no exception. It was a 1m40-1m50 course, and it was very challenging. Therefore, staying clear was a hard task. Eventually only five participants succeeded to stay clear, and only two of them made it through the jump-off without any faults. The fastest of these two, was the 10-year-old Zangersheide gelding Cognac du Vlist Z (v. Calvino Z). Under the saddle of the Frenchman Olivier Guillon this Belgian gelding flew over the jumps, stopping the clock at 36,00 seconds. This time was incredibly fast, and so we are safe to say it was a well deserved victory. Liu Tongyan and Yuongqiji were just a bit slower. They finished in 38,90 seconds, and ended on a second place. Italian rider Federico Ciriesi and the already 16-year-old U-Prova (v. Lorentin I) jumped to a third place. They had one pole down during their jump-off. Ulrich Kirchhoff and Montelini finished on a fourth place, also with four penalties. China also took the fifth place. Ruiji Liang and Discovery Imoo had eight penalties in their jump-off , but it still got them into a fifth place. Klick here for the result
