Olivier Guillon tops the Longines Grand Prix of Guangzhou

Only five combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the 1.60m Longines Grand Prix of Guangzhou. Eventually it was France's Grand Prix qualifier winner, Olivier Guillon who speeded to victory.

Aboard A.J. van der Vlist's breeding product, Cognac du Vlist, Guillon jumped to victory in 36.68 seconds. The 10-year-old Gelding was before competed by Constant van Paesschen in China and Leon Thijssen in Europe. Local show jumping rider, Tongyan Liu followed as runner-up with his 11-year-old Holstein-sire, Yu Long Qi Ji ( Cachas). The pair stopped the clock in 37.36 seconds. As well as in under 38 seconds it was Hong Kong's Patrick Lam who completed the stage aboard the 9-year-old KWPN-sire, Freedom. Lam's compatriot, Kenneth Cheng followed in a fourth place with one jumping fault. Cheng and Chaccopia (Chacco-Blue) were followed by Belgium's Steve Lefevre and Chalano Gold (Chacco Blue).
