Just before the Grand Prix a total of two 1.45m competitions were set on the program counting for the Longines Ranking points in Bordeaux. One victory was for France with Patrice Delaveau while Pius Schwizer secured a Swiss victory. Aboard Carinjo HDC (Cascavelle x Landgraf I), Delaveau took his second win this week. Former Olympic Champion Guerdat had to settle for runner-up position aboard Albführen’s Happiness (Heartbeat x Lambrusco Ask) while his compatriot Paul Estermann and Castlefield Eclipse (Obos Quality x Furisto) took third place. 12647038_10153854995257305_9037086161419572313_n   A little bit later Pius Schwizer continued the Swiss list of top results claiming the 1.45 Prix France Bleu. Riding the 14-year-old Davidoff V. Schl'Hof CH (Karondo v.Schloesslihof x Calando II), Pius left all the fences intact with the clock stopping at 51.36 seconds. Spain’s Eduardo Alvarez Aznar followed more than two seconds behind aboard the 9-year-old Quidam de Revel-daughter Top Lulu, also he clear - while Germany’s Daniel Deusser and Hildago V (Quadrillo x Andiamo) finished in third. Norway's Victoria Gulliksen had to settle for fourth after producing the fastest time of the class, but on the expense of a rail down and four seconds added.
