Patrice Delaveau untouchable in Grand Prix of Amsterdam

Jumping Amsterdam was the competition for Patrice Delaveau this weekend. Yesterday the French rider won the final class over 1.50 and today he was unstoppable in the closing Stoeterij Sterrehof Grand Prix. Nine riders kept it a clear over the tough 1.60m course of Louis de Koninck this afternoon. When Belgian upcoming star Zoe Conter did not return for a second time it were eight that returned for a final battle in Amsterdam.

As last rider to go it was Delevau who showed what a class rider he is by cruizing around the course in 37.14 secondens with Lactimoso 3 HDC (v. Landjunge). In doing so the rider left Belgian Pieter Devos and Irish Dermot Lennon behind to fight for the second place.

"I had a great weekend in Amsterdam. Yesterday Aquila was super. And today everything with Lactimoso just came together perfectly" Delaveau responded after winning.

That fight was won by Devos and Dream of India Greenfield (v. Gem of India). In the saddle of the Gem of India gelding the Belgian rider clocked 38.64 seconden and took the second spot..

"I knew Patrice had to ride after me so we gave everything but it was not enough." Devos said afterwards.

Lennon and the Irish bred Loughview Lou-Lou (v. Limmerick) did was the first in the jump-off to put a time under 40 seconds on the clock. But his ride in 38.85 seconds did not hold up and he finished as third.
