Patrice Deleveau wins first CSI5* JumpingClash Challenge

Tonight in Antwerp the first JumpingClash Challenge on CSI5* level was ridden. At the start there were eight riders who we're going to battle against each other. After the first round there were only four riders going through. The rider that finished after the first round were the four seeded riders: Simon Delestre, Christian Ahlmann, Eric Lamaze and Daniel Deusser. In the second round Pedro Veniss came against Emanuele Gaudiano. Veniss came into the arena with For Felicia (by For Pleasure) and rode a clear round but was a little to slow for the speed devil Gaudiano on the back of Chalou (by Chacco Blue). This meant that Gaudiano went through to the final. The other half final was ridden by the Belgian rider Constant Van Paesschen and the Frenchman Patrice Delaveau. Van Paesschen with under his saddle Isidoor van de Helle (by Canturo) went clear around the course  but the Frenchmen was faster. He came into the arena with Carinjo Hdc (by Cascavelle) and got one fault but beat Van Paesschen in time. This meant that the final was ridden by the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano and the Frenchman Patrice Delaveau. Gaudiano went as usual really fast around the course but got one fault. Delaveau, who came as second in the arena had to jump a clear round and he did, with a time of 29.25 seconds which resulted in a victory for the Frenchman. Pedro Veniss ended on the third place with his For Felicia and the Belgian rider Constant Van Paesschen ended on the fourth place. Click here for the results.
