Qatar takes the Nations Cup consolation win

Tomorrow the top eight of the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup Final will battle for the ultimate victory. Today the other eleven teams competed for their honor and victory. There was no jump-off needed. Qatar took home the win with a total of nine penalties. It was the last horse-rider combination that brought the win. Until that moment Brasil was in the lead with four points. Marlon Zanotelli and Rock'n Roll Semilly didn't jump as they are used to. The pair collected a total of 12 points ensuring a second place. However also Australia and France got the same points, sharing the runner-up position. Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid (Vienna Olympic) ensured the deleted result. Khalid Mohammed A S Al Emadi (Tamari IV), Ali Yousef (Gunder) both jumped one rail down. Ali also had and extra point for time. Bassem Hassan Mohammed and Eurocommerce California ensured the victory with a clear round. Belgium's Willem Meeus, the Qatar team chef, smiled and looked back to an exciting Nations Cup Final. The winning team received a total of 80,000 Euro. The Silver medal winners returned home with 50,000 Euro.
