Last week the Hansem Dam Equestrian Center was the place to be for the Verdugo Hills January Opener. The competition was hosted by the Langer Equestrian Group and has Rebecca Bruce as ultimate winner in the 1.20 - 1.25m series. Aboard Pizzazz she won the 1.20m Jumpers and the $1,000 1.25m Jumper Classic. Sophie St. Clair and her Belgian horse Ottavia Des Hayettes followed in a second place while Laura Ware and Ursina Du Perchet made it to the third spot. The top five in this class was completed by Amanda Mc Quady, and her impressive stallion Picardo on the fourth place and George Bittar (Cara B) on the fifth. The 1.10m Jumpers series had Rebecca Bruce and Charly "B" as victorious couple. Christy Morris' Lichtenstein 7 followed in a second place with rider Michelle E. Morris. Laura Ware and Almazed completed the stage with a third place.
