Rob Ehrens selects Dutch Nations Cup team for Barcelona

Chef d'equipe of the Netherlands Rob Ehrens has announced his team for the Final of the Longines FEI Nations Cup of Barcelona that will take place from 5 till 7 october. He has decided to bring his team from the World Equestrian Games in Tryon. He will however replace Jur Vrieling for Maikel van der Vleuten. Jur's horse Glasgow van het Merelsnest will not compete anymore untill the indoor season starts later this year. Maikel van der Vleuten will take his place. He considers his WEG team to be fit to compete now that the horses are all back on European soil and no longer suffering from the extreme heat in Tryon. It is however not yet decided if Harrie Smolders will compete with Don VHP Z or Emerald. He has selected the following team: Leopold van Asten - VDL Groep Beauty Marc Houtzager  - Sterrehof´s Calimero Frank Schuttert  - Chianti's Champion Harrie Smolders – Don VHP Z N.O.P. or Emerald Maikel van der Vleuten  - Arera C
