Todays World Cup during the 36th edition of Jumping Mechelen ended with a bang when Roger Yves Bost blazed across the course to beat home rider Jos Verlooy. In a jump-off with 12 riders it looked like last nights Grand Prix winner would take the honors again. Holger Wulschner and his almost unbeatable fastest time of 40.08 seconds. But Jos Verlooy was the one to break the magical threshold of 40 seconds. The crowd in the Nekerhal exploded when he and the 11 year old stallion Caracas (v. Cassal) put in a fast ride of 39.71 seconds. However there were still some top riderst to come. Among them the man with the special style, former European champion Roger Yves Bost. As the last rider to go on course the Frenchman set off like a rocket with Sydney Une Prince. Encouraged by the audience he clocked the amazing time of 38.86 seconds with his mare.
