Roger Yves Bost speeds to victory in Lausanne

The main evening class in the Swiss Lausanne was a combination of top sport and a beautiful setting. At the lake with an shine of the last sun of the day and in the arena a hard fight for the victory in the 1.50m main class. Eventually it was Roger Yves Bost who speeded to victory aboard his 11-year-old Baloubet du Rouet-daughter, Sydney Une Prince. The French show jumping rider crossed the finish faultless in 28.79 seconds and was closely followed by Belgium's olympic rider, Jérome Guery. Guery and his grey 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood horse, Garfield de Tiji des Templiers (by Quasimodo Z) stopped the clock in 29.78 seconds. Local Olympic rider, Steve Guerdat completed the stage. Together with the Balou du Rouet-daughter, Bianca he produced a clear jump-off in 30.13 seconds. The 11-year-old mare and Guerdat stayed ahead of the number one show jumping horse in the world, Halifax van het Kluizebos. With in the saddle Lorenzo de Luca the 10-year-old Heartbreaker-son placed fourth while Nicola Philippaerts and the Accardi-son, Aikido Z completed the top five. Click here for the results
