Today the international five star riders battle it out in the 1.60m Longines Grand Prix at the CSIO5* in Gijon, Spain. As a preparation the show jumping riders competed their 1.50m Longines Ranking class on Sunday evening. It was Australia's Rowan Willis and the 11-year-old AES-mare, Blue Movie (by Chacco Blue) who set the pase and eventually won the speed class. The pair jumped to victory in 65.83 seconds. Exactly two seconds faster as Great Britain's speed devil, Laura Renwick. Renwick and the 9-year-old KWPN-gelding, Dominant H (by Hearbtreaker) stopped the clock in 67.83 seconds. The combination was followed by Louise Saywell aboard her 15-year-old Tin Tin. The british female show jumper crossed the finish in 69.77 seconds. Canada's Kara Chad followed in fourth with Carona (by Untouchable) while Shane Breen completed the top five aboard his Irish sire, Hallowberry Cruz (by Cruising). Click here for the results
