This night some alarming situation has reached the French show jumping Olympic Team. Simon Delestre’s Ryan des  Hayettes has dislocated his left kneecap inside his stall at the Deodoro Equestrian Complex. Ryan is under intense supervision by not only Delestre’s team but also the French vet, Jerome Thevenot. “It is not an injury, just one wrong move in his box” said Sophie Dubourg, the FFE Technical Director, to Grand Prix Replay. The French Team and Team vet will administer a host of tests this morning in Rio de Janeiro [Wednesday, August 10th] as well as an MRI, which has already been booked. Dubourg confirmed with that the decision will be made on Thursday morning by Simon Delestre and French Chef d’Equipe Phillipe Guerdat, regarding whether Delestre and Ryan des Hayettes will compete in this year’s Summer Olympic Games for Team France. The first vet check is set for Friday, August 12th in Rio de Janeiro. Reserve rider Philippe Rozier and his horse Rahotep de Toscane stand by to replace Delestre and Ryan if necessary. Dubourg confirmed that more will be known once Ryan des Hayettes is assessed on Wednesday, August 10th.
