Tipperary's Seamus Hayes captured the sixth round of the Connolly's RED MILLS Munster Grand Prix league, at Tallow Gymkhana in Co Waterford, with the Tina McDermott owned Chipolini VMZ. The pairing were one of five double clear rounds in a competition which saw 33 starters, the winning combination crossing the finish line in 43 seconds even. Another Tipp rider, Liam O Meara, grabbed runner up spot with the ever consistant Mr Coolcaum (45.88 seconds), while current league leader Francis Connors finished third with GRC Tadmus (50.45 seconds), a horse formerly ridden by fellow Waterford rider Gemma Phelan. Wexford's Thomas Doyle finished fourth with the nine year old mare Ballycapple Mist, while Cork's Timmy Doyle was another to jump a double clear round, taking fifth spot with the Kay Doyle owned JS Bucks. Tadagh Beecher was jumping on home soil in Tallow, and grabbed sixth place with one fence down against the clock aboard Loughnatousa Blakeney Crannagh. The Connolly's RED MILLS Munster Grand Prix league now heads to Clonmel Show, for round seven of the series this Sunday 6 June, with Francis Connors still topping the league table.
