Shane Sweetnam jumps to victory in Toronto

On Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at The Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, Canada, Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam and Cobolt claimed victory in the 1.40m $20,000 McKee International Jumper Challenge in their first appearance together. Second place was awarded to the USA’s Laura Kraut and Bialda (Salvatore x Grosso Z) and 3rd went to Canada’s Ian Millar and Baranus (Balou du Rouet x Centreur Z). In a class with many clear rounds that came down to just a hundredth of a seconds, Sweetnam credited his winning time to a spook. Cobolt is a 10-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding (Cyklon x Camaro M) with whom Sweetnam has enjoyed many successes this past summer.
